Update: The Limp

Dear Mom,
Olive's surgery went well, with no surprises. I will get another call in the morning after the doctor checks on her and I'll know then when she can come home.
How horrible is it that I miss my dog and cannot wait to move Mr. Campus Man (formerly known as the Young Man) back to school?
Love,
Kim

Glad the surgery went well. Such a worry.

I hope Olive is home very, very soon. It's just not the same when they're not around. Our Bo spent last night at the vet after having a fist size fatty tumor removed. I missed him terribly and so glad he's back with us.

I'm sure Olive will be so glad to see you when you pick her up.

Funny how things change once those boys have been away to college. It's just not the same when they come home for the summer. (I always told my boys they seemed more like rude guests than a member of the family!)
Glad Olive's surgery went well. I know she will be happy to be home.

Blogger hates me. I'll try this again today. . . .

I'm sorry I missed your Sunday post until too late to pace with you on Monday. I'm so glad the surgery went well! I can just imagine the care she'll be getting once she returns home. :)

I've never heard of this problem. I'll watch for it in Scout.

Incidentally, when Olive returns home she won't expect to be able to ignore house rules, won't argue, make messes, or expect to stay out too late. Our college students come home and, instead of wanting to get back into the family rhythm, strive to leave a very large footprint to show their growth and independence.

You're oh-so-normal! :)

Not horrible at all! Called letting go. Glad Olive is doing well. Make sure you get the pain pills on the way home or shortly thereafter.

Happy to hear that Dear Olive is on the mend. Perhaps she won't be playing tetherball for a while.

When our girls came home from college on breaks I did notice a big change in them--they actually cleaned up after themselves and asked if they could help around the house, did their own laundry and even a little cooking. Perhaps boys are just different!!
