Golda's Bath

Dear Mom,
Golda has been having some serious hen-hygiene issues.  She desperately needed a bath.   Did you know that there is shampoo made especially for chickens?

 Wash...

and rinse.

She was quite sweet through it all...and I believe she felt better after her bath.

Golda spent a few hours by herself in the hospital cage, perching quietly while her feathers dried.   Marge and Gloria rushed to her side when she rejoined them.  I'm sure Golda bragged to them about her spa treatment and is now dreaming of becoming a "show chicken"!

Love, Bonnie Jo

OH my gosh. Poor Golda looks so pitifully thin when she is wet!!!!! No wonder she needed time alone to preen. And I bet the other girls are jealous of her fresh scent. Golda is a Breck Girl now.

Awwww.... Sweet Golda. I do hope that her spa treatment helps her feel better. And, I just *have* to say - that picture of her all soaking wet is absolutely precious :) ~ Suzy

Oh my goodness - that is too cute!!
If you could convince a chicken to get in the tub, I wonder if I could convince my cat! LOL

So, I guess the phrase "madder than a wet hen" just doesn't hold water. ;-)

What no blow dry? Mine love to be blow dried. Best part of the spa treatment. :)

I think the picture of her in the tub could be on a greeting card of some kind. Thanks, again for a chicken story that me laugh out loud.
