Dear Mom,
Meg, it turns out, is a sweater fitting challenge. The petite version I knit for her, with buttons to match her feathers, was the right length for her body, but the wing holes were too small. And sadly, at this point she was too frail to support the weight of the sweater when she tried it on. Out of respect for Meg's dignity, we did not take any photos.
I think I should be knitting her a prayer shawl.
Love,
Kim

She did look nice in it though. The picture will make a dignified obituary photo, should it come to that.
Oh I hope she gets better. Has she been to the vet? Gina
Meg has not been to a vet. Avian veterinarians are expensive and it is quite difficult to diagnose chicken ailments. I am giving Meg a general antibiotic mixed in her water. Meg and I thank you for your "get well" wishes!
(((Hugs))) to Meg. She is such a sweet girl... ~ Suzy
I'm sad to hear that Meg is under the weather. I didn't have a chance to comment on the previous blog but thanks for the laughs. I never ever expected to know anyone who knit a sweater for a chicken friend. Reading that post on Monday brought a "laugh-out-loud" moment. I needed that LOL moment after a crazy day at the crazy school... Literally crazy school that day (we now have our own shoe thrower). Can we meet the Lady Chickens some day? Hope Meg feels better soon.
